Dr. Rick Barrett has been freeing people from pain in the clinic in Missouri City, TX. As a Chiropractor with experience, Dr. Barrett is committed to promoting optimal health and well being of patients.
Dr. Barrett uses a “whole person approach”. Dr. Richard F. Barrett is President of Barrett Chiropractic Clinic, P.C. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in nutrition from Park College and received his Doctorate Degree from Cleveland Chiropractic College in 1993. While attending Cleveland Chiropractic College Dr. Barrett received the Clinic Service Award in recognition of dedicated commitment and service to patients, as well as receiving a certificate of Appreciation for Outstanding Service to Cleveland Chiropractic College. He was also recognized and Published in National Deans List for Academic Excellence.
Dr. Barrett runs a busy practice in the Houston, Texas area. He has successfully treated thousands of people in the U.S., Mexico and Honduras. Since 1995 he has traveled extensively to Mexico and Honduras as part of a multidisciplinary medical mission team, providing chiropractic care to the underprivileged. Dr. Barrett is dedicated to sharing natural healing methods with the world community.
To fulfill part of his purpose of empowering individuals with knowledge of chiropractic and natural healing, Dr. Barrett has written three highly acclaimed books, Healed by Morning, Messages from God for the 21st Century on Herbs, Natural Healing & Drugs, Dare to Break Through the Pain; A Guide to Eliminating Back & Neck Pain Naturally Without Drug or Surgery! and Improve Your Health Pro-Actively.
These books are providing inspiration, healing, and empowerment to people throughout the world. He has been a contributing writer to several magazine publications, books and a weekly column for the Fort Bend Star newspaper and El Dia Newspaper. Dr. Barrett is a dynamic, inspirational speaker lecturing on a variety of healing topics. He has spoken to groups such as police and fire departments, U.S. government agencies, churches, libraries, schools, as well as large corporations like Chevron, Unocal, Williams Energy and Fluor Corporation to name but a few.
Dr. Barrett has been listed on the Who’s Who in Leading Professionals and Executives since 1996, was honored in 2000 as a lifetime member in Strathmore’s Who’s Who for Leadership and Achievement. He was also awarded recipient of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s, ” Houston’s Singular Best” Award given for professional excellence and charitable and civic contributions to the Houston area. Dr. Barrett continues to be very involved in the community both through his office and personally. He has been an advocate for the Y.M.C.A. and served on the Board of Directors. He sponsors an annual food drive for the Fort Bend Food Pantry Human Needs Ministry that significantly impacts the well-being of the community.
For many years, Dr. Barrett was part of the Fort Bend Sports Chiropractic Team volunteering to treat and care for the rodeo cowboys and clowns during the rodeo.
Dr. Barrett is also the co-founder and board member of the Medical Missionaries of Divine Mercy from St. Laurence Parish in Sugar Land, TX, which provide medical mission services to Mexico.
Dr. Barrett stays current with literature and continuing education courses in these areas to name but a few: Physiotherapy, Differential Diagnosis of pain, Evaluating and Treating the Pediatric Spine, Assessment of Common Clinical Disorders, Cox Flexion/Distraction, Restoring Musculoskeletal Integrity, Impairment Rating, Whiplash and Spinal Trauma, Neuromusculoskeletal Grand Rounds – the wrist and hand, Spinal Stenosis.
The Consumer’s Research Council of America listed Dr. Barrett in the 2004 edition of its Guide to America’s Top Chiropractors and in 2005 the readers of the Fort Bend Sun voted Dr. Barrett as the Best Chiropractor in Fort Bend County.
