As of January 2021, there were over 43 million podcasts. To highlight the growth, Apple confirmed there were over 550,000 podcasts at WWDC 2018 in early June. (Winn, 2021) During COVID, the number of podcast listeners grew significantly. It should come as no surprise that two new podcasts have popped up in recent weeks for chiropractic patients and doctors.

Earlier this month, the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress started their podcast, Adjusted Reality. Their new podcast series covers the elements needed to live a strong, healthy, and vibrant life. Hosted by Dr. Sherry McAllister, practicing Doctor of Chiropractic and president of the F4CP, “Adjusted Reality” discusses health and wellness approaches for anyone searching for ways to enhance their quality of life. Dr. McAllister speaks with professional athletes, celebrities, actors, healthcare professionals, wellness experts, and influencers about their experiences with living sustainable and healthy lifestyles. The first three episodes of the podcast were released earlier this month. They released episodes with New York Times best-selling author Dr. Deepak Chopra, Monica Reinagel, host of Nutrition Diva, and Adam Schafer, host of Mind Pump. In their press release, Dr. McAllister shared F4CP’s vision to reach listeners across the country and provide a holistic view on healthcare that addresses the mind, body, and spirit. (F4CP, 2021)

In December 2020, my good friends Brad Cost and Dr. Jay Greenstein released the first podcast episode for their Tech Talk podcast. Their goal is to talk about health care technology and having fun. And that they do! And I’m not just saying that because I was a guest. Each episode has piqued my interest in technology areas that I didn’t know existed while keeping me laughing. We have some amazing chiropractors who are doing some amazing things, and it was great to hear how the technology they use is helping patients around the country.

Podcasts are not new to chiropractic. ChiroHustle with Jim Chester and Luke Millet is a great one and has been around for years. Jim presented a webinar for us in December and shared tips for starting your own podcast in your community. He makes great points on why now is the perfect time to start a podcast.

  • 75% of the US population is familiar with the term “podcasting.”

Whether you are looking for a new podcast or thinking of starting your own, these three podcasts are pretty good places to start. I strongly encourage you to check out a few episodes and consider whether podcasts might be a great way to strengthen your brand and reach more people in your community.
