Whether you’re a multi-generation or first-generation chiropractor, chiropractic student, CA, or one of the thousands of non-chiropractic supporters supporting the profession through products and services, you have a voice that needs to be heard. On November 9, 2019, in conjunction with the ChiroCongress annual convention, the Future of Chiropractic Forum was held. Stakeholders from state association leadership, colleges, national organizations, vendors, individual practitioners, and more, joined together to share viewpoints on what chiropractic will look like in the next 50 years. It was concluded that the profession needs a strategic plan and ChiroCongress volunteered to take the lead on this effort on behalf of the profession. It is anticipated that the resulting vision and plan will bring together a profession with diverse perspectives and give voice to chiropractic stakeholders’ common goals and needs.

The first phase of the Future of Chiropractic strategic planning project is wrapping up on March 5, 2021. As we enter Phase II, the key to success will be chiropractic stakeholder involvement. Please explore the project portal, sign up for information, and take the surveys as they are released. Your participation is critical to arriving at a strategic plan that includes all voices and ideas for the profession’s future sustainability and success. How can you participate?

We CAN move chiropractic forward. For decades, we’ve overcome so much and now it’s time to focus our attention on the legacy we leave for future chiropractors and the thousands of non-chiropractors working in this profession. A New York Times best-selling author Mel Robbins says, “If you have a problem that can be resolved with action, you don’t have a problem – you have a block.” Can you imagine the change we’d make if 70,000 chiropractors, 10,000 chiropractic students, and the thousands who make up this great profession, completed surveys and participated in discussion boards and cohort studies? It begins with one small step. Regardless of what has held you back from participating thus far, I challenge you to give back and participate now.
